Former Ohio Mr. Basketball Colin White Enters Transfer Portal

Columbus, April 5: Another player from Ohio State’s basketball team is set to enter the transfer portal. Colin White, a sophomore forward from Ottawa, Ohio, has announced his decision to transfer after two seasons with the Buckeyes. In his time at Ohio State, White participated in 29 games, averaging 0.9 points per game. Overall, he played in 48 games and still has two years of eligibility left in his college career.

A former Ohio Mr. Basketball and a top-125 recruit, White came to Columbus with high expectations following a stellar career at Ottawa-Glandorf. He played a key role in leading the Titans to consecutive appearances in the state championship game. His local connections and versatile skill set made him a valuable asset for the Buckeyes, particularly on defense and as a wing player.

Colin is the second player this offseason to enter the transfer portal, with Devin Royal being the first. Meanwhile, his teammate John Mobley has declared for the NBA draft but is leaving the option open to return to Columbus next season.

Ohio State concluded the season with a 21-13 overall record and a 12-8 mark in the Big Ten conference. The team’s journey ended in the first round of the NCAA tournament, where they suffered a narrow 66-64 defeat to TCU.
