Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Paras Jain Passes Away, Leaders Express Condolences

Bhopal, August 3: Former Madhya Pradesh minister and BJP leader Paras Jain passed away on Monday. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Indore, where he took his last breath. Known as ‘Paras Pehalwan,’ Jain played an active role in the state as the Minister of Forests, School Education, Food Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, and Energy.

Jain contested six assembly elections, winning five times, although he did not receive a ticket in the 2023 assembly elections.

Central Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his sorrow over Jain’s demise. He posted on ‘X’, stating, “Former minister in the Madhya Pradesh government, ex-MLA from Ujjain North, senior politician, and my dear colleague Paras Chandra Jain is no more. I am saddened and shocked to hear this news.”

Chouhan further wrote, “Paras Ji dedicated his life to serving the people of Madhya Pradesh and Ujjain. He was a skilled organizer, a successful administrator, and a great motivator for yoga and exercise. My condolences are with the grieving family. I pray that the departed soul finds a place at the feet of the Almighty and that the bereaved family finds the strength to bear this immense loss.”

Hemant Khandelwal, president of the BJP’s state unit, also expressed his grief over Jain’s passing. He wrote, “The news of the demise of senior BJP leader and former state minister Paras Chandra Jain is extremely sad and painful. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. His dedicated life towards public service and organizational ideology will inspire new workers. His contributions will always be remembered. I pray that the departed soul finds a place at the feet of the Almighty and that the bereaved family and well-wishers find the strength to endure this profound sorrow.”

BJP MP Anil Firoziya from Ujjain-Alot posted, “The news of the demise of former MLA from Ujjain North and former minister of Madhya Pradesh, Paras Jain, is extremely sad and heartbreaking. I pray to Baba Mahakal to grant the departed soul a place at His feet.”
