Mumbai, February 27: A foreign woman has reported an incident of harassment in Mumbai. She shared her experience through a video on her social media account.
In her video, she stated, “This is the first time something like this has happened to me in India, and I have been here for two months. My experience has been beautiful and welcoming, but that day was different.”
She continued, “I repeatedly said no, yet they kept following us and demanding photos. I felt uncomfortable, but they were very persistent. They followed us for over 15 minutes. At one point, I had to physically push them away to create distance. Just remember that ‘no’ is a complete answer in itself. Your safety and comfort should always come first.”
According to Mumbai police, an FIR has been registered against two unidentified suspects under sections 78(1) and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code at the Agripada police station. The investigation is ongoing.
Police officials have confirmed that the case has been filed, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. On December 10, 2025, a foreign backpacker attending a concert by American pop-country singer Post Malone in Guwahati alleged that she was harassed during the event. In an Instagram post, a woman named Emma claimed that within minutes of entering the crowded venue, she and her friend were touched without consent.

A video of this disturbing incident later went viral, showing a lone female tourist approached by a man who asked for a photo.
