Mumbai, March 19 : The first song of late actor Rishi Kapoor’s last movie ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ was dropped on Saturday. ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is the first film where two veteran actors — Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal — will be seen playing one character due to the death of the legendary romantic hero of Bollywood on April 30, 2020. He was suffering from cancer for two years. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal filled in for him. Taking to Twitter, the ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ actor wrote, “Here’s adding some namkeen to your weekend. #YeLuthrey out now. #SharmajiNamkeen releases on Prime Video on 31st March.” In the movie, Rishi/Paresh will play the role of a Sharmaji, who is a retired and middle class man. His sons urge him to try yoga, zumba or driving classes. However, Sharmaji discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women’s kitty circle. Taking to Instagram, producer Farhan Akhtar shared the song with the caption, “Here’s adding some namkeen to your weekend. #YeLuthrey out now.” ‘Ye Luthrey’ has been sung by Jasbir Jassi. The movie also stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar. Juhi was last seen in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ (2019). The Hitesh Bhatia directorial is slated to premiere on March 31 on Prime Video. PRT RNJ
