
Ghaziabad, June 4: A sudden fire broke out in the air conditioner of a residential flat in Surya Nagar, Ghaziabad, on Thursday morning, causing panic among residents. The flames quickly spread inside the room, but the fire department’s timely intervention prevented a major disaster.
Fortunately, there were no casualties, although household items in the room were damaged. According to reports, the fire control room received an alert at approximately 10:23 AM regarding a fire in flat number C-209 on the second floor of Surya Nagar.
Upon receiving the information, a fire service unit was dispatched immediately to the scene. Firefighters discovered that the fire had originated from the air conditioner and had gradually spread throughout the room. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the fire service team promptly took action, using a motor fire engine (MFE) to pump water and extinguish the flames.
Thanks to the firefighters’ skill and swift response, they were able to control and completely extinguish the fire in a short time.
Officials stated that had the fire not been contained quickly, it could have spread to neighboring flats, potentially causing significant damage. The fire resulted in damage to furniture, electronic appliances, and other valuable items in the room.
The good news is that no one was harmed during the incident, and everyone remained safe. After extinguishing the fire, the fire department provided safety guidelines regarding the proper use and maintenance of electrical appliances to those present. The fire service team then returned to the station.
