Prayagraj, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Fans across India are celebrating the birthday of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, who turned another year older on October 11. From Mumbai to Prayagraj, admirers are making this day memorable with various events.
In Prayagraj, devotees gathered at the historic Dashashwamedh Ghat in Daraganj to mark the occasion. They performed special prayers and rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva, hoping for good health and a long life for the Bollywood icon. Among the attendees was Poonam Kishore, a talented painter and a devoted fan of Bachchan.
Poonam is known for her paintings inspired by Amitabh Bachchan. She once had a special meeting with him on the popular reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC), where she presented him with a beautiful painting based on his lifestyle and poetry. On this special day, she extended her heartfelt wishes for his longevity and well-being.
In an interview, Poonam shared, “I organize grand celebrations for Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. I once tweeted about ‘Madhushala,’ and he responded, asking me to create something for him. Since then, I have compiled a collection based on his lifestyle. I am also a huge fan of Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Over 14 years, I created a series of paintings inspired by his poetry collection ‘Madhushala.’ This collection led to my meeting with Big B in 2011, and he was delighted with my paintings.”
Poonam added, “One of my paintings of ‘Madhushala’ is displayed in his home, along with other works inspired by his lifestyle. Two of my paintings have even been featured on his blog. My wish is for Big B to always remain healthy and happy.”
