Kyiv, April 3 : Several explosions rocked Ukraine’s strategic southern port city of Odessa on the Black Sea coast on Sunday. Urging the residents to remain in shelters, Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for Odesa’s regional military administration, said, “We will overcome. Hell to enemies!” Regional administration spokesperson Sergey Bratchuk told Ukraine’s public broadcaster that one of Odessa’s “critical infrastructure facilities” was struck on Sunday morning. He said, “One of the critical infrastructure objects was hit this this morning. Currently the situation is under control, the respective services are working on site. The details will be announced later.” According to CNN, a black plume of smoke was visible over the city Sunday morning, and a fuel depot in Odessa was burning. The witnesses said six explosions were heard at the fuel depot before sunrise. Anton Herashchenko, adviser to the interior minister, wrote on his Telegram account: “Fires were reported in some areas. Some of the missiles were shot down by air defence”. Earlier, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) of Ukraine’s military said that the fighting in the southeastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk continued on Saturday. It claimed that six Russian attacks in the region were stopped and four tanks were also destroyed. “Ukrainian defenders continue defending our land,” the statement read. RNJ
