Patna, May 7: Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s cabinet is set for expansion on Thursday. The oath-taking ceremony took place at the historic Gandhi Maidan, where Governor Syed Ata Hasnain administered the oath to Vijay Sinha, Dilip Jaiswal, Shrawan Kumar, Nishant Kumar, and Lacey Singh. Five other ministers, including Nitish Mishra, also took their oaths together during the ceremony.
Ramkripal Yadav, Nitish Mishra, Damodar Rawat, Sanjay Singh Tiger, and Ashok Chaudhary were among those who took the oath of office. Additionally, Madan Sahni, Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, Arun Shankar Prasad, Santosh Kumar Suman, and Rama Nishad joined the cabinet of Samrat Chaudhary. Ratnesh Sada, Kumar Shailendra, Sheila Kumar, Kedar Prasad Gupta, and Lakhendra Kumar Roshan also took the oath of office and secrecy.
The oath-taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan was attended by several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National President Nitin Naveen, BJP National General Secretary, Rajya Sabha MP, and Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
It is noteworthy that last month, JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar resigned from the Chief Minister’s position after being elected to the Rajya Sabha. This led to the formation of a government in Bihar under BJP leadership for the first time, with Samrat Chaudhary taking the oath as Chief Minister. Alongside him, JD(U)’s Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary were appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers. The Bihar NDA coalition includes BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha, and the National Lok Morcha.
