New Delhi : Different exit polls show Bharatiya Janata Party is set to return to power in Uttar Pradesh, with C Voters survey showing that the party will lose some votes, but the BJP alliance will get up to 236 seats.
As per the CVoters survey, the BJP alliance vote share will be down to 40.5 per cent, compared to 41.4 per cent last year, while Samajwadi Party’s vote share will increase to 33.6 per cent from 23.6 per cent in 2017.
The SP, as per the Exit poll, is likely to get 140 seats, while Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will get 17 and Congress is said to get six seats as per the poll. According to India Today-Axis My India exit poll, BJP will get 288-326 seats in Uttar Pradesh, SP would get 71-101 seats, 3-9 for the Bahujan Samaj Party, 1-3 for the Congress and 2-3 for others.
Uttar Pradesh Exit Poll Live said, BJP was expected to form government in UP for the second straight term; projected to win 230 seats, and SP will get 152.
The BSP and Congress are predicted to get 14 and nine seats, respectively. According to Matrize, BJP and allied parties will get 262-277 out of 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. SP and its allied parties will win 140, while BSP will get 17. The majority mark in UP is 202.
