
New Delhi, May 19: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for young individuals aspiring to kickstart their careers with the State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest commercial bank. SBI has officially announced the recruitment of 7,150 apprentice positions based on state/union territory and language.
The online application process for these apprentice positions commenced on Tuesday, with the deadline set for June 8. Candidates interested in applying can submit their registration forms on the bank’s official portal before or by the final date.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree in any subject from a recognized institution or university. The training period is established at one year.
The minimum age for candidates is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is capped at 28 years, calculated as of April 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online written examination, a local language test, a medical examination, and the final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. The written examination is expected to take place in July.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹300 for general/OBC/EWS categories. Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should first register on the NAPS portal. Then, they can visit SBI’s official website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Log in after registration, fill in all required information in the form, and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. Finally, pay the registration fee and submit the form. It is advisable to print a copy of the application for future reference.
