Kolkata, February 15: In Khargpur, West Bengal, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh expressed that the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match always brings a unique thrill. He emphasized that cricket matches between India and Pakistan symbolize not just a sport but also deep emotions and excitement.

Ghosh criticized the West Bengal government, stating that “Messi was brought in to influence publicity and elections. Although the elections may not go as expected, the money taken from the people should be returned. However, this will not be compensated from electoral funds, and the public’s money will not be refunded.”

He also praised the central government’s infrastructure projects, noting that the runway has been transformed into a highway, with Narendra Modi personally testing it. Ghosh mentioned that a nearly three-kilometer-long runway has been developed as a helipad in his area. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister would visit and test this facility, which would boost local morale and give the region a new identity.

Addressing concerns about law and order in West Bengal, Ghosh stated that crime is on the rise, with the government and police remaining passive as those involved in criminal activities have ties to the ruling party. He pointed out that the weakening of law and order has created an atmosphere of fear among the general public.

Earlier, in response to the BNP’s victory in Bangladesh’s elections, Ghosh urged the BNP leadership and the people to govern peacefully and move the country forward.

Additionally, he criticized the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, claiming that TMC has monopolized temple-mosque politics. He stated that the people of West Bengal must now decide whether they want development or politics centered around religion.
