Madar, Neem, and Behaya are all mentioned in Ayurveda and are used to combat various health issues. First, let’s talk about the Neem plant and its leaves. The Neem plant is known for its branches, fruits, bark, and leaves, all of which are packed with benefits. However, we will focus solely on the leaves today. Consuming Neem leaves helps eliminate harmful bacteria in the stomach and purifies the blood. Applying a paste of Neem leaves or bathing with water infused with them offers numerous advantages. The leaves are particularly beneficial for skin-related ailments.
Next is the Madar plant. While it can be planted at home, it is generally easy to find nearby. The leaves of the Madar plant are rich in properties that help reduce inflammation and pain. For joint pain, apply mustard oil to a Madar leaf and warm it slightly before placing it on the affected area. The leaf has a greater capacity to absorb pain than conventional medicines.
The third and final plant is the Behaya plant. Behaya is a perennial plant that can be easily grown in pots on the terrace. Both its flowers and leaves are beneficial. The leaves of Behaya are primarily used for joint pain, inflammation, and skin diseases. A paste made from Behaya leaves works effectively for conditions like ringworm and itching, although consumption should be avoided.
