Lucknow, April 15: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj and Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh responded to the Women’s Reservation Bill and allegations made by Rahul Gandhi against the BJP.
In a conversation regarding the special parliamentary session on the Women’s Reservation Bill, MP Sakshi Maharaj stated, “Prime Minister Modi is a great personality and an extraordinary leader. He has been working from the beginning to ensure justice for women. When we entered the new Parliament building, Prime Minister Modi first passed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. This clearly shows that Prime Minister Modi respects women’s power and wants to ensure them justice. Our government believes that mothers will not only work in homes but will also decide their own fate and fight their own battles. This is why we have called for a special session. All parties should support this bill in honor of women.”
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s election rally in West Bengal, he commented, “When Rahul Gandhi holds rallies, it benefits the Bharatiya Janata Party. The people of West Bengal have trusted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP this time.”
Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh described the Nari Shakti Vandan Act as a historic step towards women’s empowerment. She said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 33% reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies has been ensured. Women make up half of the country’s population, yet their representation in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies is only 14-15%. Once the 33% reservation is implemented, we will definitely see a significant change in society. This bill will not only benefit women but will also set a new benchmark for the country’s politics, society, and economy.”
