Emergency Medical Team Assists in Delivery of Triplets in Rajkot, Gujarat

Rajkot, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : A woman in Rajkot, Gujarat, made headlines after giving birth to triplets with the assistance of an emergency medical team. The remarkable event unfolded on the night of September 19, when the woman delivered her first child at home in Rohishala village, prior to the arrival of an ambulance.

The 108 emergency service team received a call at 8:48 PM regarding the delivery. EMT Jignasha Luhar and pilot Sureshbhai quickly headed to the scene. Upon their arrival, they found that the first of the three babies had already been born.

With two more children yet to be delivered, Luhar assessed the situation using her training and successfully assisted in the birth of the remaining two infants. According to the 108 team, all three newborns were boys.

During the emergency, the patient’s condition and other pertinent details were communicated to Dr. Jotsna via phone. Following her medical guidance, the team provided essential care and continuously monitored both the mother and the newborns.

After the delivery, Luhar ensured that the mother and her three sons received the necessary medical attention before being transported to a maternity hospital. They were safely handed over to the hospital’s medical team for further treatment and care.

The 108 team noted that delivering triplets presents additional challenges compared to a typical birth, requiring careful management and coordination. They expressed gratitude for the support provided by pilot Sureshbhai and the medical guidance from Dr. Jotsna during this critical situation.

All parties involved celebrated the successful delivery and the safe transition to hospital care for the mother and her newborns.
