Embracing Authenticity: Sandipa Dhars Message in Do Diwane Sahar Mein

Mumbai, April 28: The quest for beauty has captivated everyone, from everyday individuals to celebrities. Achieving the perfect figure has become a lifestyle, with strict diets and gym routines dominating daily life. This issue is poignantly explored in the recently released film ‘Do Diwane Sahar Mein.’

In the film, actress Sandipa Dhar portrays a character named Naina, who loses her true identity while striving to meet societal and social media pressures for perfection.

On Tuesday, Sandipa shared a scene from the film on Instagram. In the video, she reflects on her journey to becoming beautiful and perfect. She admits she can hardly remember the last time she ate a full meal. In her post, she expressed, “I have received numerous messages about this scene of Naina. Her breakdown is a result of the lies we are taught from childhood. We are told we will only be better when we lose 5 kilos, receive a promotion, or appear completely perfect.”

Sandipa further emphasizes that both she and Naina have realized that being true to oneself is enough. There is no need for external validation or appearances to be happy.

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur in key roles. While Sandipa’s character appears beautiful and cheerful on the outside, she grapples with feelings of loneliness, fear of losing her identity, and a craving for others’ approval. Sandipa’s portrayal resonates with today’s women, who often feel crushed under society’s unrealistic standards of perfection.

Released on February 20, the film has received mixed reactions from audiences.
