Mumbai, May 19: The political landscape in Maharashtra is abuzz following Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s recent visit to Delhi. Minister Sanjay Shirsat from the Maharashtra government has provided clarity on the purpose of this trip. He stated that the visit was pre-planned and revolves around significant administrative issues related to the Urban Development Department.
In an interview, Sanjay Shirsat mentioned, “Eknath Shinde’s trip to Delhi was already scheduled. He informed us in advance that there are important tasks related to his department. Following this, there is a possibility of meetings with senior leaders.”
Sources indicate that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is in the national capital to participate in crucial meetings concerning urban development. There is also speculation in political circles that Shinde may meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during this visit, although no official confirmation has been made yet.
Regarding the NEET UG paper leak case, Minister Sanjay Shirsat described it as a massive racket that has been exploiting people for years. He stated, “Initially, the police began the investigation, followed by the CID, and now the CBI is involved. This is a significant racket that has been operating for years, essentially robbing people.”
Sanjay Shirsat also leveled serious allegations against coaching institutions, claiming that many have grown so large that they operate like major landlords and have the power to influence politicians.
The Maharashtra government minister called for strict action, asserting, “Such individuals must face imprisonment. Bulldozers will be used against them, and they will be sent to jail.”
