Eicher Motors rises as its JV reports 2.3% rise in total commercial vehicle sales in January

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 2871.40, up by 27.55 points or 0.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 2843.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2900.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2943.85 and Rs. 2849.00 respectively. So far 13920 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3035.50 on 22-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1246.00 on 07-Apr-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2930.75 and Rs. 2699.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77707.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.24%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.39% and 12.37% respectively.

Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture (JV) — VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported a 2.3 per cent rise in total commercial vehicle sales at 5673 units in January 2021. The company had sold 5544 units in the same month of the previous year. Total domestic sales stood at 4964 units in January as compared to 4871 units in January 2020, increase of 1.9 per cent. Total exports last month stood at 555 units as against 517 units in the same month of 2020, up 7.4 per cent.
