Hyderabad, April 17 : Christians in Hyderabad, its twin Secunderabad and other parts of Telangana on Sunday celebrated Easter, the day of resurrection of Jesus Christ after crucifixion, with religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm. Since dawn, devout Christians in large numbers thronged churches of all denominations and offered prayers. Many churches conducted pre-dawn Easter service. Easter also marks the end of the 40-day lent period of prayers, fasting and abstaining from worldly pleasures.
