EAM, Greek FM discuss Ukraine, Indo-Pacific, ink two agreements

New Delhi, March 23 : India and Greece on Wednesday signed two agreements, a Declaration of Intent on Migration and Mobility and a Cultural and Educational Exchange Programme, during the meeting between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and visiting Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. The Greek Foreign Minister in a tweet said: “I signed with #India counterpart @DrSJaishankar “Declaration of Intent on Migration and Mobility between Greece and India Cultural and Educational Exchange Programme between Greece and India.” On the bilateral talks, he said they discussed advancing their cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral fields, also their shared commitment to international law, including the law of the seas, and discussed the developments in Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific and in the Eastern Mediterranean. “I met with #India EAM @DrSJaishankar “On the agenda: -advancing the multifaceted & thriving Greece-India cooperation both at the bilateral & multilateral level -shared commitment to International Law, including Law of the Sea -developments in #Ukraine, #EasternMediterranean & #IndoPacific.” Ahead of the talks, EAM Jaishankar said in a tweet that he is pleased to welcome FM Dendias on his first India visit, and that he looks forward to the comprehensive talks on bilateral, regional and global issues. “Pleased to welcome my friend FM @NikosDendias of Greece on his first India visit. “Look forward to comprehensive discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues.” RN
