Noida, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : The e-bus service operating in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority area is experiencing a significant increase in ridership. With affordable fares and convenient travel options, the service has attracted a growing number of passengers.
In July, approximately 150,000 passengers used the e-bus service, but this figure surged to 340,000 in August. This increase in ridership has also led to a doubling of revenue generated by the service.
Launched on June 15, 2026, the e-bus service features a fleet of 100 buses, with 50 operating in Noida, 25 in Greater Noida, and 25 in the Yamuna Authority area. Currently, the 50 e-buses in Noida are running on five key routes.
Due to the positive response from the public, residents of Noida and surrounding villages are requesting an expansion of the service, including additional buses and new routes. In response, plans are underway to add 25 more e-buses to the existing fleet, along with surveys for new routes aimed at connecting more villages and sectors to the e-bus service.
The five main routes for the e-bus service in Noida include:
– Route 1: Starting from the Botanical Garden, this route covers the Golf Course, City Center, Hoshiyar Pur, Sector 51, Parthala, Gaur Chowk, Greater Noida West’s Murti Gol Chakkar, and ends at Pari Chowk.
– Route 2: This route begins at the Botanical Garden and goes through Sector 44 Chhalera, Amity School, Expressway, Pari Chowk, Galgotia University, Dankaur, and Khupura, ultimately reaching Jewar Airport.
– Route 3: Running from the Botanical Garden to Surajpur Collectorate, this route passes through Sector 37 Underpass, Chhalera, Agahpur, Barola, Sector 50 Metro Station, Sector 75, North Eye Chowk, Sector 116, Sector 78, Samsung Phase 2, Flower Market, and Kulesra.
– Route 4: Starting at the Botanical Garden, this route connects to the Golf Course, City Center, Sector 52, Sai Mandir in Sector 61, Sector 62, Pratap Vihar in Ghaziabad, and the RRTS station, concluding at the new bus station in Ghaziabad.
– Route 5: This route operates from the Botanical Garden through Sector 16, Noida Entrance Gate in Sector 14A, Akshardham, and Kaushambi, ending at Anand Vihar.
Authorities are currently surveying new routes to enhance public transport connectivity in areas with limited bus services. The expansion of the e-bus service is expected to facilitate easier travel between villages, sectors, metro stations, and major business and institutional areas in Noida and Greater Noida.
