
New Delhi, June 24: Actor Dulquer Salmaan met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the encounter as one of the greatest honors of his life. He shared several pictures from this meeting on social media, featuring himself, his father Mammootty, and other family members alongside the Prime Minister.
In his post, he wrote, “Meeting the Prime Minister of the country and witnessing my father being honored for his long and illustrious film career felt like a dream come true. This day will be a historic and memorable experience for our family.”
Notably, the Padma Awards ceremony took place on June 23 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where several prominent figures from the entertainment industry were honored. Actors R. Madhavan, Mammootty, and renowned singer Alka Yagnik received the prestigious Padma awards during the event.
This year’s second Padma Awards ceremony recognized a total of 65 individuals, including 2 Padma Vibhushan, 7 Padma Bhushan, and 56 Padma Shri awards. Earlier, on May 26, the first ceremony honored 66 recipients.
Dulquer Salmaan continues to be active in his film career. Recently, he launched the trailer for the upcoming comedy-drama film ‘Gayaapadda Simham,’ directed by Kashyap Srinivasan, featuring Tarun, Mansa Chaudhary, and Faria Abdullah in lead roles.
He began his acting career in 2012 with the film ‘Second Show.’ Early on, he caught the audience’s attention with films like ‘ABCD,’ ‘Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi,’ and ‘Vaya Moodi Pesavum.’ However, he gained true recognition and popularity with the film ‘Bangalore Days.’
Since then, Dulquer has starred in several successful films, establishing himself as a leading actor in Malayalam cinema. His notable works include ‘Vikramadithyan,’ ‘Charlie,’ ‘Kali,’ ‘Kammatipaadam,’ ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal,’ and ‘Kurup.’ His performances in Telugu films like ‘Mahanati,’ ‘Sita Ramam,’ and ‘Lucky’ have also earned him nationwide recognition and box office success.
In 2018, Dulquer made his debut in Hindi cinema with the film ‘Karwaan,’ alongside the late actor Irrfan Khan, directed by Akash Khurana. He has since appeared in films like ‘The Zoya Factor’ and ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist.’
