Divyendu Sharma Praises Meme Creators as Exceptional Storytellers

Mumbai, May 4: Actor Divyendu Sharma, who gained fame overnight for his role as Munna Bhaiya in ‘Mirzapur’, has expressed a positive outlook on meme culture. He believes that meme creators are highly creative and skilled storytellers. According to him, these creators deserve opportunities in the film industry.

In a recent conversation, Divyendu stated, “It’s wonderful to see how people embrace their favorite characters through memes. It’s a special and emotionally enriching experience.”

He further emphasized that while memes are crafted in fun and creative ways, there is also a responsibility that comes with the popularity of a character. He cautioned against overly glorifying any character or situation.

The actor remarked, “I often feel that meme creators could find work in our film industry. If not in front of the camera, then at least as dialogue or screenplay writers. The way they connect two different elements is truly astonishing.”

Divyendu appears delighted to see his characters becoming part of memes and pop culture. He acknowledges that the audience’s love means a lot to him.

The actor will soon be seen in the upcoming web series ‘Glory’. Recently, he shared his insights on what glory truly means. He believes that honesty in work is more important than external praise, and that is his definition of real glory.

He stated, “In this industry, true pride comes from being satisfied with my work and seeing myself perform well on screen. I think it’s great if people appreciate what I do, but the most important thing is to come home and sleep peacefully, without feeling ashamed of what I see on screen. For me, glory begins right there.”
