Mumbai, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Abhishek Pathak, the director of the popular franchise, has unveiled ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’ in theaters, generating significant buzz. He emphasizes that while creating the sequel, his goal was to maintain the essence of the previous films while introducing a fresh narrative.
Pathak explained that the film’s storyline is layered, necessitating a review of earlier installments to ensure that every dialogue and scene carries weight. “While writing ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’, we frequently revisited small dialogues or scenes from the earlier films to see how they could connect with the existing story. I was very aware that our audience has already seen ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Drishyam 2’, so they are quite familiar with the plot,” he remarked.
He expressed a desire for viewers to feel nostalgia, creating a sense of interconnectedness among all parts of the franchise. Additionally, Pathak was determined to avoid the label of a remake, acknowledging that when something already exists, audiences might overlook the effort put into the Hindi version.
“I wanted to write this in my own style and take the story forward in a unique way, crafting my version of the conclusion. We often debated the screenplay; if something seemed predictable, we would note that anyone could guess it. This process helped us keep the story complex without losing the audience’s interest,” he added.
The hard work of director Abhishek Pathak has been widely praised, and ‘Drishyam 3: The Conclusion’ is receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences.
