Dilip Ghosh Criticizes Mamata Government, Claims Criminals Are Considered Innocent in Bengal

Kharagpur, April 5: BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh has launched a fierce attack on the West Bengal government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He stated that under the TMC government, even criminals are viewed as innocent.

Speaking to the media in Kharagpur, Ghosh remarked, “Bengal faces the highest levels of crime, corruption, and anti-national activities. However, from the perspective of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC government, there are no criminals; everyone is innocent. It is up to the ED and the courts to determine who is guilty and who is innocent.”

On the issue of ‘fish’ in Bengal, Ghosh added, “The TMC lacks real issues, which is why they are making fish a topic of discussion.”

He also took a jab at Mamata Banerjee, saying, “If someone can make a broken leg bandage a topic, they can make anything an issue.” This comment references Banerjee’s wheelchair campaign during the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, which she won.

In response to Banerjee’s remarks about EVMs, Ghosh stated, “This time, the EVM narrative won’t work. Anyone can go and file a complaint. They can check the EVMs and see for themselves. There’s no way out now; Mamata Banerjee’s defeat is certain.”

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad also responded to the EVM issue, saying, “Mamata Banerjee is losing and is desperate. She has won twice through EVMs. Now, when people want to defeat her, she claims there’s a problem with the system. What kind of thinking is that?”
