Mumbai, July 21: Dheeraj Dhoopar, a popular contestant on the reality show ‘Lock Up: Truth or Punishment,’ has found himself in the spotlight after host Riteish Deshmukh accused his family of violating show rules. Riteish revealed that Dheeraj’s family allegedly attempted to send in game-related strategy notes during the competition, which he deemed against the show’s regulations.
In a recent episode, Riteish directly questioned Dheeraj regarding the matter. He explained that the show’s producers had received multiple reports of handwritten notes being sent from Dheeraj’s family. These notes reportedly contained strategies for playing and winning the game more effectively. Riteish emphasized that in reality shows like ‘Lock Up: Truth or Punishment,’ each contestant must play their own game, and seeking external assistance is strictly prohibited.
While speaking to Dheeraj, Riteish stated, “We do not allow any family members to meet contestants. However, on humanitarian grounds, we permitted your son to visit you. On that day, your family attempted to send a note into the show. We initially overlooked it, but once again, your family tried to send in a strategy note with your belongings.”
Riteish further explained, “All contestants must rely on their own understanding, thought processes, and abilities to play the game. Any form of external help could compromise the fairness of the show. This is your final warning; if such a mistake occurs again, strict action will be taken against you.”
Following the revelation, Dheeraj appeared visibly embarrassed. He apologized to Riteish, claiming he was unaware of the incident. He insisted that he never asked his family for outside help and wants to play the game on his own merit.
Dheeraj also appealed to his family through the camera, urging them not to attempt such actions again. He expressed confidence in his ability to play the game independently, without any external assistance.
