Dharmendra Pradhan Highlights Responsibility Over Achievement in West Bengal and Assam Elections

New Delhi, May 4: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan responded to the recent assembly election results, emphasizing the party’s strong performance and public support. In an interview with a news agency, he stated, “I extend heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the voters across all five states. By casting their votes, they have expressed their preferences and chosen their preferred governments. This is the essence of democracy and the fundamental principle of our constitutional system.”

Regarding the BJP’s improved performance in West Bengal and Assam, Pradhan remarked, “I see this not as an achievement, but as a responsibility. When people repeatedly express their trust in a democracy, they entrust the party with responsibility. Today, there are NDA and BJP governments in over 22 states. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, we have been serving the nation for three consecutive terms.”

Responding to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statements, Pradhan said, “This is the language of despair and defeat. If Mamata Banerjee believes in morality and constitutional order, she should graciously accept her loss. The public has already rejected her.”

Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu stated, “Today is a historic day for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee once said, ‘The clouds will clear, the sun will rise, and the lotus will bloom.’ Today, the lotus is blooming across the country. For the first time, our government is set to take shape in West Bengal. Truly, this victory belongs to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and democracy.”

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sahrawat added, “The BJP’s victory in West Bengal was not unexpected. Over the past 15 years, people have witnessed Mamata Banerjee’s increasing autocratic behavior. Her refusal to allow an FIR in a case involving a medical student has sparked outrage among women and youth in the region. The public was dissatisfied with various issues and voted for the BJP under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for development.”
