Mathura, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : The festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated with great fervor in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, as devotees flock to the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Since early morning on September 4, devotees from across the country have arrived at the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple to pay their respects. Thousands participated in the Mangala Aarti held in the temple complex.
Following the Aarti, the atmosphere turned festive, with devotees dancing to the beats of drums and traditional instruments. The entire Krishna Janmabhoomi area resonated with chants of “Kanhaiya Lal Ki Jai.” Local authorities have implemented extensive arrangements to ensure the safety and comfort of the visitors, allowing them to enjoy the celebrations without any hassle.
One female devotee expressed her joy, stating, “Everything is happening due to the grace of Kanha Ji. This is His leela and His magic; only He knows. The whole world dances to His tune, as no human possesses such power. Since we surrendered to Kanha, miracles have been happening in our lives.”
Another devotee, Mohan Singh, shared his excitement, saying, “We have been celebrating this festival here for nearly 15 years. It brings us immense joy. Whenever we come, we dance a lot. I don’t dance myself; Kanha dances us.”
A different devotee remarked on the blessings received from Kanha, noting, “Thanks to Kanhaiya Ji’s blessings, I had the darshan of Sant Ras Ji. Each year, the grandeur of this festival increases. The arrangements are excellent, and I am having a wonderful experience.”
One woman, who resides in Mathura, mentioned, “This is my in-law’s place, and I come here daily for darshan. However, today is special as it’s my first time visiting on Janmashtami. It feels amazing.”
Another long-time visitor, who has been coming to the temple for 20 years, added, “When I miss a visit, it feels like I’ve missed something important. The arrangements here have improved significantly. The experience is very comfortable today.”
One enthusiastic devotee commented, “I feel very good. I arrived here at 3 AM. The facilities are much better than before, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.”
