Delhi Police Arrest Thief with Stolen Cylinder and Mobile Phones

New Delhi, April 26: The staff at the Palam Village police station in the southwest district has successfully apprehended a thief named Sushil Kumar, also known as Sajan. His arrest led to the recovery of a stolen gas cylinder and two mobile phones.

On April 22, a case was registered under an e-FIR for burglary at the Palam Village police station. To solve this case, a dedicated team was formed, comprising ASI Sanjeev Kumar, ASI Virender Singh, HC Harender, HC Sandeep, and HC Krishna. This team operated under the leadership of Inspector Sudhir Kumar Gulia (SHO/Palam Village Police Station) and the close supervision of Anil Kumar (ACP/Sub-Division Delhi Cantt), aiming to catch the criminals.

The team activated their informants, utilized technical surveillance, and conducted a thorough analysis of CCTV footage collected from various locations. Staff were also deployed in the area to gather information about active criminals. During the investigation, the analysis of CCTV footage along the route helped identify the accused.

Authorities received a specific tip-off regarding the accused’s presence in the Palam Village area. Acting swiftly, the team set up a planned trap and apprehended Sushil Kumar, a 33-year-old resident of Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi. A stolen gas cylinder was recovered from his possession. During continued questioning and further investigation, two stolen mobile phones were also found in his possession.

Sushil is known to be an alcoholic. He previously worked as a taxi driver but quit his job three months ago. In a bid to quickly earn money to support his addiction, he resorted to theft.

Additionally, Sushil has three cases registered against him at the Palam Village police station. The police are now working on further action.
