Delhi NCR air quality continues to remain severe

The Air Quality Index of the adjoining areas of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, Gurugram and others have also shown a deteriorating air quality as most of them fall under the severe category. Air quality in the city was severe yesterday as well.

With the onset of winter, a dip in the minimum temperature is making the air cold and heavy leading to accumulation of pollutants close to the ground. The Odd-Even rule has been enforced in Delhi to combat air pollution.

The situation is likely to improve with an increase in wind speed due to a fresh western disturbance and a dip in farm fires.
