Mumbai, April 15: In a groundbreaking move, the Delhi Capitals are currently training at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru during the IPL season. This marks the first time an IPL team has utilized the CoE, which opened its doors on September 29, 2024.
A source informed TOI, “Yes, the Delhi Capitals are holding a two-day camp, which began on Tuesday at the CoE. They trained under the lights from 6 PM to 9 PM today, and tomorrow’s session is scheduled from 4 PM to 8 PM.”
The Delhi Capitals are gearing up for their next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 18. It appears they requested permission from the BCCI to train at the CoE, which was granted.
Currently, the Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals have won and lost two matches each, earning four points after four games. They sit in fifth place on the IPL-2026 leaderboard, having lost their last match to Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs in Chennai.
