CSIR-UGC NET Provisional Answer Key Released; Objections Accepted Until August 18

New Delhi, August 16: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. Candidates who participated in the exam can now review their answer sheets and the recorded responses. If they find discrepancies in any answers, they can file objections within the stipulated time frame.

The NTA has set the deadline for challenging the answer key from August 16 to August 18, until 11 PM. Candidates are advised to submit their objections through the official examination portal during this period. This allows candidates to compare their answers with the correct ones provided in the provisional answer key.

If candidates believe there is an error in the answer key, they can challenge the specific question following the prescribed procedure. Before filing an objection, candidates should carefully verify the relevant question, their chosen answer, and the answer listed in the key. According to the agency, challenges to the answer key will not be accepted after 11 PM on August 18.

Additionally, educators recommend that candidates should not wait until the last moment, as high traffic on the website could lead to technical issues. It is important to note that no objections will be accepted after the deadline under any circumstances.

The NTA has urged students to rely solely on official notifications. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency for information regarding the answer key, the objection filing process, and other exam-related details. Trust only the official information available on the site.

The agency continuously updates the latest information related to the examination on its website. The UGC-NET determines eligibility for candidates aspiring to become assistant professors and junior research fellows. According to the National Testing Agency, eligibility criteria and other regulations apply as per the relevant notifications.
