Aurangabad / Mumbai, Mar 5 : Maharashtra on Saturday reported 535 new Covid-19 patients and 10 fatalities in a single day, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 78,68,451 and the toll to 1,43,737, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said. Also, 454 fresh cases of new Omicron variant were spotted in the state today, taking the count of this cases to 5,665. On the other hand, 963 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,16,674. The state’s recovery rate further improved to 98.07 per cent while the fatality rate was unchanged at 1.82 per cent. There are now 4,038 active cases in the state, added the bulletin. VKB SS 2110
