Mumbai, February 23: On Monday, the Consuls General from Japan, Finland, and China met separately with Maharashtra and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, infrastructure, education, culture, and trade.
First, Japan’s Consul General Koji Yagi met with the Governor. They discussed Japan’s collaboration on major infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, particularly the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Railway (bullet train), the Atal Setu, and Mumbai Metro Line-3. Japan’s Vice-Consul and Head of Political-Economic Affairs, Ryo Nishio, was also present during this meeting.
Following this, Finland’s Consul General Erik F. Hallström met with Governor Acharya Devvrat. He announced that the President of Finland is scheduled to visit India in the first week of March, which will include a stop in Mumbai. The meeting also included Finland’s Deputy Consul General Dr. Eva Nilsson, the Governor’s Secretary Dr. Prashant Naranavare, and Joint Secretary S. Ramamurthy.
The Consul General of China, Kin, also met with the Governor at Lok Bhavan. This meeting delved into enhancing education, culture, and bilateral trade.
