Ayodhya, July 23: A meeting of the saint community in Ayodhya focused on the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, temple management, and recent political controversies. Following the meeting, Raghavesh Das Vedanti, the successor of Dr. Ram Vilas Vedanti Maharaj, and Mahant Sitaram Das addressed the media, responding to the opposition, Rahul Gandhi, and the protests by the ‘Cockroach Public Party.’
Raghavesh Das Vedanti claimed that a well-orchestrated conspiracy is underway to remove Prime Minister Modi from power, allegedly involving foreign forces. He noted that while various movements have occurred in the past, they have not yielded results. He asserted that the opposition’s role is to protest, but removing PM Modi and CM Yogi is not feasible. He highlighted that Modi has accomplished what the Congress party could not achieve in 70 years, and he accused Rahul Gandhi of being part of this alleged conspiracy.
During the meeting, Raghavesh Das Vedanti praised the dedication and commitment of former Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, condemning the allegations against him. The saint community believes he is innocent and demands that if the SIT report clears him, he should be reinstated as General Secretary of the Trust. Previously, they had urged the Trust not to accept his resignation, but it was processed. The saints will again request the Trust to restore him to his former position after the investigation concludes.
Raghavesh Das Vedanti also welcomed the formation of a religious committee by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which includes five saints from Ayodhya. He stated that this committee will oversee the worship, celebrations, and other religious activities according to the Ramanuja Vaishnav tradition. The inclusion of saints such as Mahant Rajkumar Das of Ram Vallabh Kunj and Dr. Ramkamal Das of Ramkunj has brought joy to the saint community across the nation. Decisions will now reflect the sentiments and thoughts of Ayodhya’s saints, fostering a more positive religious atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Mahant Sitaram Das condemned attempts by Rahul Gandhi and opposition leaders to breach PM Modi’s security, labeling it shameful and deplorable. He emphasized that such actions deserve strong condemnation. Some opposition parties, he claimed, are driven by an anti-Ram, anti-Sanatana, and anti-national mentality, receiving financial support from international sources. He warned of a conspiracy to create chaos and divide society through foreign funding. Attacks on administration and journalists are also unfortunate and should be criticized.
Mahant Sitaram Das revealed that the saints’ meeting addressed several significant religious and social issues. The primary aim was to spread devotion to Lord Ram and strengthen the promotion of Sanatana Dharma. The saint community feels hurt by those questioning Lord Ram’s existence, supporting violence against Ram devotees, or attempting to tarnish the image of Sanatana Dharma. Today, Sanatana Dharma has established its identity globally, and those trying to undermine it will face appropriate responses in due time.
