Congress Viewed as Meaningless Asset by BJP Leaders Amid Election Tensions

New Delhi, March 18: BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala and party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi have targeted the Congress party and the opposition regarding the upcoming 2026 assembly elections.

In a conversation about the forthcoming elections in West Bengal, Naqvi stated, “I believe Mamata Banerjee already knows she is going to lose. When that happens, she will start playing games with the Election Commission. You must face the consequences of your actions. The people of West Bengal are fed up with misgovernance, corruption, and crime. They can no longer bear this burden.”

Commenting on the airstrikes by Pakistan in Afghanistan, Naqvi expressed, “What has happened in Afghanistan is deeply concerning. Those involved in terrorism and cruelty are not only enemies of the state but also of the true principles of Islam. The images of innocent lives lost are profoundly disturbing and will trouble any sensitive and humane individual.”

Naqvi further remarked, “The Congress party has become like a meaningless asset, lacking value both internally and externally. This is why they cannot even manage their own house, yet they are making noise across the country, shouting ‘Save us! Save us! Save us!’”

Regarding the resignation of Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi, Naqvi said, “You are unable to manage your own house. You cannot protect or properly manage your limited resources. You have failed to win their trust.”

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala noted, “The Congress party is once again fracturing. No one in Congress trusts Rahul Gandhi anymore. This is why Assam MP Pradyut Bordoloi and Vice President Navjyoti have resigned from the party. They stated there is no coordination, no dialogue, and no consultation.”

Poonawala added, “In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-Congress alliance is showing signs of confusion, division, power ambition, and corruption instead of a mission or vision. The leftists have only secured five seats and have now rebelled against the DMK. Recently, we have seen Congress leaders raising their voices against the DMK regarding misgovernance and the lack of women’s safety.”
