Congress expresses concern over Jahangirpuri violence

New Delhi, April 17 : The Congress on Sunday expressed concern over Jahangirpuri violence and appealed people to stay ted. “Be alert, safe and stay ted Delhi . Violence, riots, and frenzy will not make the religion ‘safe’, neither will anyone be strong, yes, our India will definitely be weak. There is silence of epathy in the ruling…So it is the responsibility of the people”, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet along with the hashtag ‘Jahangirpuri’. On Saturday, violence broke out between two groups in Jahangirpuri during a procession of Hanuman Jayanti. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police said, 14 persons have been arrested so far for their alleged involvement in the Saturday’s violence. “One of the accused who allegedly opened fire has also been arrested. Pistol used in the crime was recovered from his possession,” police said on Sunday. DS GNK
