Congress Celebrates Supreme Court Ruling as a Victory for the Constitution

New Delhi, May 4: The Congress party has welcomed the Supreme Court‘s relief granted to party leader Pawan Khera, describing it as a victory for the Constitution. Congress leader Salman Khurshid praised party Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi for his diligent efforts in the Supreme Court.

Speaking to reporters, Khurshid stated, “We honored Singhvi, who is one of our senior colleagues. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to him. His arguments serve as an inspiration and send a message to the legal community on how to fight for one’s rights.”

As Rahul Gandhi departs for Muscat, Khurshid remarked, “Whenever needed, Rahul Gandhi has dedicated every minute to the party and the nation. He has been available for discussions, campaigning, reaching out to people, and delivering messages. He will not sit idle now. When the results come in, we will review them, and Rahul Gandhi will certainly lead that process.”

Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe referred to the Supreme Court’s decision as a victory for Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution. He stated, “The relief granted by the Supreme Court today has upheld the Constitution and strengthened individual freedoms. This has set a precedent.”

Londhe also mentioned Singhvi and Khera, celebrating that the Supreme Court has defended the Constitution. Following a meeting, Singhvi spoke to reporters, saying, “It was a very productive meeting. It felt like a special occasion, and I was honored here. Pawan Khera was also welcomed.”
