Congress and INDIA Alliance to Rally at Ramlila Maidan on November 1 to Address Vote Deletion Issues
The Congress party and INDIA alliance will hold a major rally in Delhi on November 1 to address concerns over vote deletions.

Anantnag, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : A significant rally organized by the Congress party and the INDIA alliance is set for November 1 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir announced that this event is part of the “Save Votes, Save Country” campaign. Originally scheduled for Jantar Mantar, the venue was changed due to government restrictions.
Mir stated that the event will feature legislators, party officials, and grassroots workers from across the country. He emphasized that this rally is a continuation of their campaign, highlighting how the government, under Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, allegedly manipulated the electoral process.
He pointed out that the Election Commission‘s decisions, particularly those made by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, have raised constitutional concerns. Mir noted that two commissioners have confirmed that many of Kumar’s decisions have been arbitrary and unilateral, undermining public trust in the electoral process.
The Congress leader expressed that the situation has sparked widespread concern, not just in India but globally. He criticized the Election Commission for failing to conduct free and fair elections, which he believes have been compromised across several states, including West Bengal, Bihar, and Maharashtra.
Mir asserted that the elections held since Kumar’s appointment have primarily benefitted a specific party and class, a fact that has become increasingly clear to the public. He also highlighted the impact of vote deletions, particularly affecting the Gen-Z voters, many of whom have been excluded from voter lists after turning 18.
In the past year alone, approximately 13 million voters have been removed from the rolls, a move that Mir described as detrimental to democracy. He called on all voices of truth in India, not just Rahul Gandhi, to unite on November 1 at Ramlila Maidan to assert their democratic rights against ineffective policies and manipulative tactics.
