New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia unveiled a commemorative postage stamp in memory of Saint Malukdas during the ‘Saint Samagam’ event held in New Delhi on September 15. This stamp, issued by the Indian Postal Department, serves as a significant tribute to the saint’s legacy of devotion, wisdom, compassion, and public welfare.
Addressing saints, spiritual leaders, and devotees from various parts of the country, Scindia highlighted how the words and lives of saints have consistently guided the soul of India. He noted that it is particularly meaningful to release this stamp during the inauguration of the Shri Ram Katha, as Saint Malukdas was deeply devoted to Lord Ram.
Scindia emphasized that while Saint Malukdas was a fervent devotee of Lord Ram, his devotion extended beyond mere worship. He embodied the values of duty, sacrifice, truth, compassion, justice, and public welfare, sharing these ideals with the masses.
The minister remarked that India is advancing towards economic growth with a profound cultural confidence. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation is striving to blend its rich heritage with modern development.
He referred to the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Mahakal Lok, and the preservation and revival of various spiritual and cultural heritage sites across the country. Scindia asserted that development and culture are not opposing forces in India, stating that the country can modernize while remaining connected to its roots.
Looking ahead, Scindia mentioned the vision of ‘Developed India 2047’, stressing that true progress must center on humanity. He highlighted the importance of compassion in national advancement, creating opportunities in the economy, ensuring technology reaches the last person, and utilizing education for character building and societal welfare.
