CM Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan on His Death Anniversary in Lucknow

Lucknow, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : A tribute ceremony was held in Lucknow on October 8 to commemorate the death anniversary of former Union Minister and Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) founder Ram Vilas Paswan. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the event and paid his respects.

During the ceremony, Adityanath praised Paswan as a powerful voice for social justice and the marginalized. He noted that Paswan dedicated his life to advocating for the rights of Dalits, backward classes, and the weaker sections of society.

The Chief Minister remarked that Paswan’s voice, which rose from Bihar nearly 50 years ago, became a catalyst for social change across the nation. He acknowledged the consistent support and respect Paswan received from the people of Bihar, which propelled him to Parliament. Adityanath emphasized that Paswan tirelessly fought to realize the dreams of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and to ensure justice reached the last person in society.

Adityanath reflected on his long working relationship with Paswan in Parliament, highlighting that despite political differences, Paswan held a deep respect for Indian traditions and democratic values. He was committed to elevating the status of Dalits and marginalized groups within the mainstream society.

Although Paswan is no longer physically present, the Chief Minister stated that his memories and ideas continue to inspire people. He affirmed that Paswan’s struggle for social justice will always be remembered in the political landscape of the country.

The event was also attended by Paswan’s wife and son, Chirag Paswan. Adityanath praised Chirag for continuing his father’s mission and effectively voicing the concerns of the public as a central minister under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Adityanath expressed gratitude to the Bihar government for commemorating Paswan’s death anniversary as a national event. He assured that Paswan would receive the same respect in Uttar Pradesh as he did in Bihar.

He concluded his address by paying heartfelt tributes to Paswan from the people of Uttar Pradesh, stating that advancing the legacy of social justice would be the truest homage to him.
