CM Yogi Adityanath Highlights Progress in Uttar Pradesh on Navratri

CM Yogi Adityanath praises safety initiatives for women in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant shift since 2017.

Lucknow, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, emphasizing the importance of overcoming evil forces. He referenced the divine form of Goddess Kalaratri, who symbolizes the destruction of malevolent powers, stating that the end of injustice and terror is essential for establishing a just and peaceful society.

In a post on the social media platform X, Adityanath reflected on the state of Uttar Pradesh prior to 2017, describing a climate of fear and chaos instigated by mafia figures and criminals. He credited the “double-engine government” for implementing a zero-tolerance policy towards crime, which has led to the establishment of law and order and a fear-free environment.

The Chief Minister highlighted several initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s safety, including Mission Shakti, the Integrated 1090 Helpline, and the Safe City project. He pointed out that the police response time has dramatically decreased from 65 minutes in 2016 to just 5 minutes, showcasing the government’s commitment to law enforcement and women’s safety.

Adityanath noted that this newfound sense of security has empowered women to work confidently, even during night shifts. Furthermore, he mentioned that women’s participation in the labor force has surged from 12% to over 36%, reinforcing women’s growing role in contributing to the economic development of Uttar Pradesh.

He concluded by stating that the increasing involvement of women across various sectors, including agriculture, industry, and entrepreneurship, has infused new energy into the state’s growth trajectory, significantly contributing to the rise in Uttar Pradesh’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income.
