Puducherry, April 12 : Chief Minister N Rangaswamy on Tuesday chaired a review meeting on the drinking water project to be implemented with the financial support of the French government here. According to a release from the office of the Chief Minister, the project to provide drinking water in Puducherry town is to be implemented with a support of Rs.530 crore from the French Development Agency (AFD). AFD had already released Rs.49 crore for the project and the preliminary works are on. The review meeting to expedite the project was today held at the office of the Chief Minister. Consul General of France in Puducherry Lise Talbot Barre, Agriculture minister C Djeacoumar, Secretary (PWD) T Arun and officials from the AFD, among others attended the meeting. PAB CS1633
