
Jaipur: Ahead of the upcoming budget session, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired a meeting of the BJP legislative party at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Sharma engaged in detailed discussions with MLAs on managing the assembly proceedings and directed them to present the government’s viewpoint actively and assertively in the house.
The Chief Minister stated that the budget session commencing on Wednesday is highly significant. He emphasized that the state government will present an inclusive and comprehensive budget reflecting public aspirations and accelerating Rajasthan’s development.
Sharma urged legislators to prominently highlight the achievements of the government’s two-year tenure during the session. He stressed the importance of MLAs’ maximum attendance in the assembly and encouraged them to thoroughly study assembly rules and procedures to effectively represent the government’s stance on various issues.
He also instructed ministers to respond to opposition queries with appropriate and strong answers, insisting that misleading and baseless allegations by the opposition be addressed with facts and seriousness.
The Chief Minister underscored that both ruling and opposition representatives have been elected to work for the state’s progress. He said it is the duty of public representatives to raise common people’s issues with a positive approach. Sharma affirmed that the BJP government is committed to fulfilling the promises made to the public.
Highlighting the government’s performance, Sharma remarked that significant reforms and outstanding achievements have been made in just two years. He added that when compared to the Congress’s five-year term, the opposition has no answers to the government’s accomplishments.
Focusing on fundamental priorities like water, the government has taken important decisions including the Ram Jal Setu project, the Yamuna water agreement, and the Devas project.
Efforts are underway to ensure adequate and uninterrupted electricity supply, with farmers in 22 districts now receiving power during the daytime.
From strengthening law and order to creating employment opportunities for youth, unprecedented progress has been made. Over one lakh government jobs have been provided so far, and recruitment processes for more than 15 lakh positions are ongoing.
