Hyderabad, March 9 : In a cheering news for jobless youth in Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced in the state Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that the government will take up direct recruitment to fill up 80,039 vacancies immediately. Making a statement in the house, Rao said the government propose to fill up 2,020 teaching posts and 2,774 non-teaching posts in the versities. Together with these posts, the total number of direct recruitment vacancies comes to 91,142. However, after regularizing the services of 11,103 contract employees working against direct recruitment vacancies, 80,039 direct recruitment vacancies would be available for recruitment, the Chief Minister said.”I am happy to share the good news with the youth that the Government have decided to fill-up these vacancies immediately. There will be an additional financial implication of Rs.7,000 Crore per annum,” he said. Rao also announced that the upper age limit for recruitment would also be increased.
