Civilian killed in south Kashmir attack

Srinagar, April 13 : A civilian was killed in a terrorist attack in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday, police said. The killing of the civilian took place two days after a top Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) terrorist was killed along with a hybrid militant in a gun battle in the district. A civilian, identified as Satish Kumar Singh was critically wounded in a militant attack in the Pombay village of Kulgam this evening. “The injured Singh, a local and a driver by profession, was shifted to hospital in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries,” a security official said. Police said the area has been cordoned to trace the attackers and those involved in the killing would be neutralised soon. “..#Terrorists involved in this #gruesome terror crime will be neutralised soon. Over the past weeks, there have been a series of targeted attacks on non-local labourers and a Kashmiri Hindu in south Kashmir districts. Meanwhile, political parties have condemned the attack. “..There can never be a justification for attacks like these. May his soul rest in peace & may his family find strength during this difficult time,” former chief minister and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah said. The BJP has urged police to nab and p sh the attackers. “Strongly condemn yet another barbaric and cowardice act of terrorists…..
