Chinese Flavor Debuts at Berns Asian Street Food Festival

Bern, June 1: At the Asian Street Food Festival held in Bern, Switzerland, from May 29 to 31, attendees enjoyed a variety of dishes from different countries. This year marked the debut of the ‘Chinese Flavor’ food program, supported by the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland and organized by the Bern Chinese Cultural Center, which drew significant attention from visitors.

The festival featured beautifully decorated Chinese stalls that attracted large crowds. Traditional Chinese dishes such as dumplings, shao mai, and cold beef salad captivated both locals and tourists alike.

In addition to food, a special tea corner was set up at the Chinese stall. Here, a ‘Tea Master’ dressed in traditional Hanfu attire served jasmine tea to guests, while also sharing insights about Chinese culinary culture and the art of traditional tea preparation.

Chwei Ke, the director of the Bern Chinese Cultural Center, noted that this year marks the 11th consecutive edition of the Asian Street Food Festival. He expressed, “This is our first participation in the festival. We hope that through this engaging and enjoyable medium, people from around the world can closely experience the richness and diversity of Chinese culinary culture.”
