
Beijing, March 4: On March 3, the defending champions, China, began their campaign in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup with a solid 2-0 victory against Bangladesh in a Group B match.
In another Group B encounter on the same day, North Korea triumphed over Uzbekistan with a score of 3-0. China is set to face Uzbekistan on March 6.
This year’s Asian Women’s Cup is taking place in Australia from March 1 to 21, featuring 12 teams divided into three groups. According to the tournament format, the top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.
