China Achieves Breakthroughs in Space Station Research

Beijing has announced significant advancements in China’s space station during the year 2025, particularly in space science, application experiments, and technology testing.

Several scientific facilities covering life sciences, microgravity physics, and new space technologies and applications have been established in China’s space station. These developments have ensured the successful execution of key scientific missions.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences reported that, under the space application system, 31 new scientific and application projects were implemented in orbit in 2025. These projects generated over 150 terabytes of scientific data.

Among the notable achievements, China successfully conducted its first mouse space science experiment aboard the space station. For the first time internationally, biological research was carried out in a submagnetic-microgravity mixed space environment on the station.

Additionally, in-situ electrochemical and optical studies of lithium-ion batteries for space applications were performed on the Chinese space station, marking another milestone in space technology research.
