Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Urges Students to Reduce Screen Time and Increase Activity Time

Lucknow, March 30: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has advised students to reduce screen time and increase activity time as the new academic session begins.

He emphasized the importance of balanced technology use in today’s digital age. For holistic development, children must actively participate in sports, yoga, and creative activities. On the occasion of the new academic year, Chief Minister Yogi extended his best wishes to students, parents, and teachers in a letter reiterating the government’s educational priorities.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government’s goal is to ensure that no child is deprived of education, highlighting the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ as a significant initiative in this direction. In his message, he said, “As the new academic session begins, I wish all children the best for their bright future. Engage wholeheartedly in your interests, sports, and school activities, and realize your dreams.”

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing every child with quality and value-based education. Schools are not just places for learning but the first step in personality development. Here, children acquire fundamental values and education that pave the way for their future.

CM Yogi referenced Indian traditions, stating, “The foundation for Lord Rama’s idealism and Lord Krishna’s principles of action was laid in Gurukul education. Education is an integral part of your duty path.”

Encouraging students, he urged them to adopt the principles of Swami Vivekananda in their lives. With hard work and positive thinking, even impossible goals can be achieved. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of a healthy lifestyle, urging children to incorporate sports and yoga into their daily routines. He also advised balanced technology use, stating, “This is the age of technology, but it is essential to reduce screen time and increase activity time. Play a lot, read a lot, and develop yourself in every field.”

Addressing parents, CM Yogi acknowledged their efforts to provide better education for their children. He urged them to commit to educating those children in society who are still away from schools. Many children are deprived of education due to a lack of awareness about government schemes; parents should work to inform these families.

He assured that the state government is continuously working to ensure that no child is left behind in education. “From April 1 to April 15, 2026, the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ will be launched, symbolizing our commitment,” he stated. In conclusion, the Chief Minister said, “The goal of a developed Uttar Pradesh can only be achieved when every child is educated and progresses.”
