Gandhinagar, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel celebrated Dussehra by performing weapon worship at his residence in Gandhinagar. This ritual honors an ancient tradition in Indian culture and symbolizes the triumph of truth over falsehood.

During the ceremony, CM Patel emphasized the importance of protecting weapons and scriptures. He conducted the worship for the arms used by the security personnel assigned to his safety, extending warm wishes to them for the festive occasion.

The Chief Minister provided motivational guidance to the security staff, discussing the significance of duty and the principles of Karma Yoga. He stressed that fulfilling responsibilities in defense and security must be accompanied by compassion and a commitment to good deeds. Upholding human values and spiritual growth through righteous actions is equally vital, he noted.

Tejas Patel, the Superintendent of Police responsible for the Chief Minister’s security, welcomed him at the weapon worship event. The ceremony was attended by various security personnel, including Deputy Superintendents, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, commandos, and drivers, all of whom participated in the ritual.

This tradition of weapon worship at the Chief Minister’s residence on Dussehra was initiated by former Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. It continues to be observed with a sense of traditional faith and duty.
